Trail Marker

The Pacific Crest Trail winds 2000 miles from Mexico to Canada across the crest of the majestic mountains of California, Oregon, and Washington.  In 1937, the Forest Service approved the first official trail marker for the PCT. W.J. Pollock designed the iconic diamond-shaped sign that identified the Pacific Crest Trail System. Eighty years later, a few diamond signs still exist on the trail.
